1. What is Zap Cancer ?
I created Zap Cancer - a fundraiser to help Nathalie to get the moral support needed when going through a cancer but also to offset her medical bills. I believe there are so many wonderful ways to raise money. Gift cards is one of them. Zap Cancer is a group gift fundraiser to support Nathalie.
2. Does Zap Cancer make money ?
Zap Cancer doesn’t make any money. Basically Zap Cancer is an online media used to create a group gift composed of people willing to help Nathalie fighting cancer. There is no hidden fee. I concluded a special agreement with from:Everyone.com. They will not charge fees to the donors. 100% of your donation goes directly to the gift card.
3. How long does the fundraiser last ?
The fundraiser is ending March 18th 2011. You have up to March 18th to make your donation. If you don’t provide your personal email address by the "contribution due by" date - March 18th you will not be able to make your contribution. If you forget to donate before the due date from:Everyone will send you an email reminder of the upcoming “contributions due by” date.
4. What gift card did Nathalie select ?
Normally from:Everyone doesn’t allow more than one gift card per group gift. However considering the nature of Zap Cancer they did agree to let the recipient (Nathalie) select more than one gift card. For technicality reason you will see only one gift card choice. Nathalie selected three vendors: Trader Joe’s, Whole Food and Target. Click here to see the list of stores available.
5. What is from:Everyone.com ?
I partnered with from:Everyone.com – an online group gift service to help me with the fundraiser. Their mission is to make group gift giving simple and convenient for all. They provide: the gift cards, the gift purchase of choice for recipients and make individual contributions towards a group gift possible. Click here to learn more about from:Everyone.
6. How does it work for Donors ?
It’s really easy. Once you click the “make your donation” link on the home page you will be asked to enter your personal email address. You simply submit it. Once I authorized the group gift, from Everyone.com generates a Group Gift email inviting donors to contribute toward the group gift. You can then make your contribution by using your credit card - Visa/MasterCard.
7. Does from:Everyone.com charge fee ?
Typically, there is a 10% fee added to each individual contribution. In lieu of charging the donors an additional 10% fee from:Everyone and I concluded a special agreement. Your donation is free of charge. For instance if you give $20 toward the group gift you will be charged $20, not $22.
From:Everyone's system is automated to add 10% to each individual contribution at the time you make your contribution online and your email receipt will reflect that. But from:Everyone will make the correction and adjust each contribution to reflect 0% fee. Your credit card will be credited free of fee. You donate $20 and you will be charged $20. 100% of your donation goes directly to the gift card.
8. How much should I contribute ?
From:Everyone lets you contribute any amount you’d like (in dollars, not cents!). The minimum individual contribution is $5. No fee applicable.
9. Who is going to see my contribution ?
Individual contribution amounts are confidential and will not be seen by the group or by the Organizer. No one sees individual contributions. Contributors will see a running total on the Contribution Page provided with the invite you will receive. However you may choose to donate anonymously (there's a box on the Contribution page). If you select the box it will only mean that your name will not appear on the gift closure. A contribution page will be provided to you where you can see the running total toward the gift card, but never names or individual amounts.
10. Will I be spammed by the Organizer or from:Everyone.com once I give my personal email address ?
The Organizer will not send any emails to contributors. Only from:Everyone will send you an email to invite you to contribute to the gift card. If you don't donate once you received the initial invite from:Everyone will send you only one reminder to donate and that before the "contribution due by" date. Yes. As the Organizer I have the ability to add other contributors at any time. Right now it is the perfect time to contribute by visiting the following link "Make Your Donation"
12. Is there another way I can make a donation ?
From:Everyone.com is the only way you can make your contribution. If donors would like to give money instead of contributing toward the group gift a Paypal account can be set up to allow it.
